Application of Social Cataloguing and folksonomy
Socio Cataloging facilities offered by some sites doesn't seem to be useful to the Librarians in order to extend more sophisticated library services. I think it is because of book marking specially being done by a person for him to retrieval the same information again when needed. That means information does not appear
systematically in digital form and likely to be lost in the fathomless ocean of information. Hence the use and tagging of information is purely personnel. According to my opinion the only implication of this is to widen the search of information on certain topics which will again unnecessarily disperse because of nonstandard assigning of tags. – J.M.Nandagaoli
